Kids Help Phone is committed to improving the well-being of Canada's children. To that end, we are constantly seeking new ways to make a difference – over the past few years, we have expanded to offer four main services to Canadian children and their families:

  • Since 1989, Kids Help Phone has been there for Canadian youth 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Callers have learned to trust our service because they know it is: free from any phone in Canada; confidential and anonymous; bilingual; staffed by professional counsellors.
  • In 2000, we took another bold step toward our goal of helping kids by launching Parent Help Line in collaboration with Invest in Kids Foundation. This 24 hour, toll-free, confidential and anonymous counselling, referral and Internet service for parents and caregivers lets up help kids by first helping their parents.
  • Our Student Ambassador program (sponsored by BMO Financial Group) benefits everyone who participates. Student Ambassadors develop their volunteer and leadership skills through training in team building, citizenship and public speaking, and thousands of school children learn about Kids Help Phone.
  • Working with other organizations, our Public Education projects allow us to build awareness of issues that are important to children – like bullying, drugs, violence and loneliness. Our partnerships with other organizations ensure information about how to deal with these issues lands in the hands of those who need it most – our kids.
